About
A parts supplier with plant manners
Crusher Consumables is a dedicated South African wear-parts provider, focused on the real needs of quarries, mines, contract crushers and recycling yards from the Highveld to the Lowveld, Karoo, Coast and everywhere in between. Backed by practical field experience and a deep understanding of crushing and screening, our team supports plant maintenance crews with the right part, at the right time, to keep machines running and tonnes moving.
Who we are and where we operate
Crusher Consumables is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd from our main yard and head office at 2 Makro Place, Sunnyrock 1401, Germiston. Our footprint reaches from Joburg’s industrial heartland to Durban humidity, Cape southeaster, and as far as Mbombela and the Karoo. With showrooms at Clearwater, Cresta, Pavilion, Tyger Valley, Baywest, Mimosa and Riverside, we are always close to South African crushing operations.
We have built a reputation for technical know-how and reliability in a sector where downtime costs real money. Our team understands the realities of Eskom power cuts, challenging ore and aggregate conditions, and the demands of both small bakkie-run operations and major mining groups.
What we supply for crushers and screens
We focus on the wear parts that keep crushers and screens productive. Our range covers jaw plates, cheek plates, toggle plates and wedges for jaw crushers, plus mantles, bowl liners and concaves for cones and gyratories, and blow bars (martensitic, chrome iron, with or without ceramic inserts) for impactors. VSI customers trust us for impeller tips, anvils and table liners. Screen plants rely on our polyurethane and wire mesh panels, tension mats, side liners and wear buttons.
Every part is supplied to fit either OEM or proven aftermarket profiles, with options tailored for your closed side setting, nip angle, feed arrangement and campaign life. We also stock liner bolts, backing compound, wire tensioners and lifting lugs to help make maintenance safe and efficient.
- Austenitic manganese (work hardening) and martensitic steel grades
- Polyurethane vs woven mesh for screening in wet or abrasive conditions
- Backing compound and torque-checked liner fasteners
- Ceramic-insert blow bars for high-abrasion impactors
Working with maintenance and plant teams
Our technical support starts with wear profiling and feed analysis, helping you identify uneven wear, poor feed distribution or dangerous chamber profiles. We advise on choke feeding, nip angle optimisation, correct screen tension and aperture selection, and safe liner change-outs with proper lifting and lockout.
We plan with your maintenance team, helping organise campaign stock holding so you don’t get caught short during Eskom outages or crusher breakdowns. Our parts are supplied with all relevant lifting lugs and handling guidance, and we always recommend checking torque values against your OEM manual during installation.
To request technical advice or urgent parts, contact our team through our contact form. We’re practical, responsive and committed to supporting South African crushing crews, wherever you are.
