How to read blow bar specs
Blow bar kits are specified by alloy, matched mass, and rotor fitment. Alloy choice splits along feed type: martensitic steel handles rebar and hard scrap, manganese options cope with high-impact, and chrome iron brings hardness for clean, abrasive rock. Mass matters for rotor balance, as an unbalanced set will reduce bearing life and cause vibration. Always check your impactor’s model and chamber profile against the kit’s stated spec, if you’re running an OEM profile, let us know to avoid mismatch.
- Alloy: Martensite, manganese, chrome iron
- Mass: Balanced across all bars
- Rotor: Confirmed by crusher make and model
Measuring for your blow bars
Before ordering, pull your old bar and measure its length, width, and thickness at the mounting point, not just across the worn face. Capture the mounting hole spacing and check for any profile differences along the bar’s length. Take clear photos of the wear surfaces and mounting lugs. A crisp shot of your impactor’s nameplate (model, serial, and chamber code) helps us match the right kit. If your bar’s profile has changed due to past weld repairs or breakage, let us know before we cast or pick from stock.
- Measure all key points, not just the worn edge
- Mounting hole position is critical
- Photograph the old part and nameplate
What to send when you order
To speed up supply, email us through our contact form with: a photo of your old blow bar (top, bottom, profile), a tape measure in shot for scale, and a clear image of the machine’s serial or chamber plate. Tell us the feed type and typical shift rate, and any past wear issues. We’ll cross-check against our stock or advise on the next cast window.
