Parts Handoff Form

The details to include when you email the parts team.

How to use the parts handoff form

Our Parts Handoff Form is a practical document used by maintenance supervisors, plant foremen, and quarry managers to organise replacement parts orders and pass on detailed requirements. Whether you are in the Highveld, the Cape, or the Lowveld, this form keeps everyone on the same page, minimising downtime between shifts or during a liner campaign. It is designed for internal use on site and for communication with our team at Crusher Consumables. When you need new jaw plates, cone mantles, blow bars, screen media, or any other wear part, this form ensures all technical details reach us accurately.

Fields on the form and how to complete them

Fill in every field clearly to avoid delays in order processing. Each section is designed to capture the technical and practical details needed for correct parts selection and fitment.

  • Site name and contact: Who is ordering and where the parts are going.
  • Machine details: OEM model, serial number, and component (e.g. Metso C120 jaw, Sandvik CH430 mantle).
  • Part description and profile: Specify the wear part, liner profile if known (e.g. heavy-duty, OEM profile, or custom).
  • Material spec: Required alloy, such as 18% manganese, martensitic, chrome iron, or ceramic insert.
  • Current closed side setting and feed details: For jaws and cones, note CSS and feed size/type.
  • Wear observations: Any spalling, uneven wear, broken lifting lugs, or loose bolts.
  • Previous issues and campaign duration: Note past failures, liner bolt torque checks, or change-out frequency.
  • Preferred delivery and any power cut constraints: Planned delivery date and special instructions (e.g. Eskom outages affecting offload or crane availability).

How the handoff form helps during a liner campaign

Across a liner campaign, the Parts Handoff Form becomes your plant’s record for each change-out, making future campaigns smoother. By tracking details like closed side setting, liner wear, screen tension, and bolt condition, you build up a history for campaign planning and stockholding. When it is time for new parts, just update the sheet with the latest measurements and wear notes, then send it through. If you need the latest PDF, request it from our team by emailing Contact form. Consistent use of the form ensures the right part is delivered, ready for safe lifting and correct installation, every time.
