Bring photos of your worn parts, the crusher model and serial plate, and a few measurements. We match the profile and talk you through the options.
What you can see and do at Clearwater
These samples let you check steel grade, profile, and fit for your plant. Our staff can help you match your existing liner profile to OEM or alternative options, and we keep detailed photos and technical drawings on hand for comparison.
Bring your own photos or worn part samples, and we will work through wear patterns together. You can review different options such as austenitic manganese, martensitic steel, and high chrome iron, as well as ceramic insert technologies for longer life or specialised feed conditions. If you want to check screen tension or aperture fit, we have both wire mesh and polyurethane screen panels for hands-on review.
- Sample jaw plates, mantles, blow bars, screens on site
- Compare profiles and materials side by side
- Discuss crusher chamber set-up and nip angle
- See photos of real-life wear patterns
- Get advice on liner torque and safe lifting
What to bring to your appointment
To get the best advice and a precise match for your crusher or screen, bring as much detail as you can. Photos of the worn parts are especially helpful, showing the wear profile and where replacement is needed. If possible, bring the crusher’s model and serial plate details, as well as any OEM part numbers. Measurements of key dimensions, such as closed side setting, feed opening, or liner thickness, help us ensure the replacement fits correctly.
If you have a sample of a broken toggle plate, fractured blow bar, or worn-out screen, bring it along. This can help us check material compatibility and recommend the right fix, whether you are running a hard granite or a softer aggregate.
- Photos of worn liners, blow bars, or screens
- Crusher model and serial plate details
- Key measurements and settings (CSS, aperture, etc.)
- Any OEM part numbers you have
- Physical samples if available
Local context for plants in roodepoort and the West rand
Many of our customers in the Roodepoort and West Rand area run plants on quartzite, dolomitic andesite, or hard quartz. These rocks are abrasive, so correct liner choice and feed distribution are crucial to avoid premature wear or poor nip angle in your jaw or cone chamber.
Most plants in this region are inland, away from the coastal humidity. Temperatures can swing from chilly Highveld mornings to hot, dry afternoons. If Eskom power cuts affect your shifts, campaign planning and stock holding become even more important to avoid downtime. Typical sites range from fixed quarries to contract mobile crushers and recycling yards, all needing tough wear solutions and smart stock management.
Screen media selection here often means balancing throughput with cut accuracy, whether using wire mesh for maximum open area or polyurethane for long life in sticky conditions. We can advise on best practice for your feed and typical fines content.
