Inspect sample crusher wear parts and discuss options

At the Mimosa appointment showroom in Mimosa Mall, Bloemfontein, you can view a selection of sample wear liners for jaw, cone, and impact crushers, as well as screen media options. We display jaw plates, cone mantles and concaves, blow bars with and without ceramic inserts, and polyurethane screen panels. Our team is ready to help you match sample profiles to your own crusher’s needs, compare material choices like austenitic manganese or martensitic steel, and explain wear patterns and work hardening.

We can review your site’s wear part photos and talk through crusher chamber profiles, nip angles, and screen tensioning, using actual parts and diagrams. You’ll see different liner fitment methods, backing compound options, and safe handling features such as lifting lugs. This is a practical, technical appointment space, not a retail counter, so bring specific questions or samples if you have them.

  • Match liner profiles to your crusher
  • Discuss work hardening and material selection
  • Get advice on screen media fitment
  • Review your wear part photos and site challenges

What to bring for your appointment

For the most productive session, bring along photos of your worn parts, especially close-ups of high-wear areas and fixing points. If possible, jot down your crusher’s make, model, and the serial plate details, this helps us match the correct OEM profile and get dimensions right.

Measurements are very useful. If you can, measure the main dimensions of the cavity, slot, or bolt arrangement. If you’re struggling with feed distribution, closed side setting, or screen aperture choice, notes or sketches from your team can help us recommend the right solution. All of this ensures we identify the best liner or screen for your plant’s conditions.

  • Photos of worn liners or screens
  • Crusher model and serial plate info
  • Key measurements and sketches
  • Notes on feed and wear patterns

Wear part advice for inland free state plants

The Free State region, with its Karoo and Ventersdorp lavas, dolerite, and sandstones, produces hard, abrasive stone that can challenge liners and screens. Most inland quarries and contract crushing plants here run jaw and cone crushers, with some impactors for road stone and ballast. The dry Highveld air means less screen blinding than you’d see on the coast, but fine dust can be an issue for bearings and seals.

Feed tends to be dry and angular. We often recommend OEM jaw profiles with deeper corrugations for good nip, alongside heavy-duty manganese steel or martensitic options. Impact plants here benefit from chrome or ceramic blow bars for longer campaigns. Screen plants use both polyurethane and woven wire, depending on fines content and budget.

Being based inland, Eskom power cuts can disrupt planned change-outs, so we encourage campaign planning and having essential liners and screen panels in stock at your plant or in your bakkie. Our Mimosa location gives you practical advice for these exact Free State conditions.
