Yard
Our story
Crusher Consumables was built on the Highveld to solve a simple but critical problem: mines and quarries losing tonnes of production because of missing or late-arriving wear parts. Our yard in Sunnyrock, Germiston keeps the lifeblood of crushers close to Joburg’s mining and contract crushing heartland, so production can keep moving, no matter what Eskom throws our way.
Why we chose Sunnyrock for our parts yard
We started out after seeing plants sit idle for days, sometimes weeks, just waiting for jaw liners, mantles or cheek plates to arrive from somewhere on the coast or even further. In Germiston, we are right in the thick of Gauteng’s quarry and mining belt, with direct road links to Rustenburg, the West Rand, Heidelberg and Mpumalanga. From Sunnyrock, we can reach most big crushing plants in a few hours by bakkie or truck, even when the Highveld storms hit hard.
The yard is purpose-built to store heavy wear parts safely, from jaw plates weighing 180 to 420 kg up to full cone bowl liners and hoppers. We keep campaign stock on-hand for regular profiles, so there’s no waiting for containers to clear. For urgent breakdowns, we can pull liners from stock and get them on the road within the hour. That’s what keeps plants producing, even when the rest of Joburg is standing still.
- Strategic location for rapid response
- Dedicated campaign stock
- Safe heavy lifting and handling
A working day on the Sunnyrock yard
Our mornings start with parts picking, using customer wear profiles and feed size data to match the right liners and settings. Closed side setting and chamber profile checks are part of the routine, so customers get the right fit, not just a part number. Kits are assembled with the correct liner bolts, hardened washers and, if needed, backing compound ready for site.
Dispatch is split between our own bakkies for urgent local calls and trusted couriers for longer runs to the Karoo or Lowveld. Each load is checked for lifting lugs, safe packing and, where needed, certified slings for heavy mantles or concaves. Liner bolts are torqued on-site by the customer, to OEM specifications.
Throughout the day, we keep track of stock levels, campaign draws and urgent orders. When an Eskom power cut hits, we keep working from our backup supply. You’ll always get real answers on parts availability, not just promises.

How our showrooms work with the Germiston yard
Our showrooms in Clearwater, Cresta, Pavilion, Tyger Valley, Baywest, Mimosa and Riverside keep us close to our customers in every region. Each showroom works directly with the Sunnyrock yard, putting local quarry and mine managers in touch with real-time stock and technical support. You can bring in worn parts, get help measuring nip angle or aperture, and look at work hardening or ceramic insert samples in person.
When a customer places an order in a showroom, the Germiston team handles picking, checks and dispatch. We coordinate stock transfers between showrooms and the yard, so nobody is left waiting for a liner stuck in the wrong province. For support or technical queries, we’re always on hand through our contact form.
